Dr Tatjana Riabova head of the few breeding experts, who are able and allowed to judge Akhal Tekes. The Institute at Ryzan and MAAK insists that each Akhal Teke foal must be blood typed and entered in the StudBooks.

Dr. Riabova is the manager of the StudBooks and Director of Breeding at Ryzan in central Russia in which all the horse institutes are situated. She is President of the Russian Association of Akhal Teke Horse Breeding and Vice President of MAAK. She has a Ph.D. in Biology.

Mr. Alexander Klimuk -he is in charge of the breeding of Akhal Tekes at the stud near Stavropol in the Caucases. He has currently got one of the largest stud farms (60 mares).
